About Us -Trendhue

Built at 48. Because freedom doesn’t have an expiry date

For 20 years, I did everything right.

I built a career in IT. I showed up. I learned. I grew. By every measurable standard, I was doing fine. But somewhere between the meetings and the monotony, between the deadlines and the days that all started looking the same, I lost something I couldn’t name for a long time.

I lost the feeling that what I was doing mattered — to me.

The work was there. The knowledge was there. The success that was supposed to come — never quite arrived the way I’d imagined. And slowly, what had once felt like a career started to feel like a cage. I’d wake up, open my laptop, and feel a heaviness I couldn’t shake. The days got longer. The spark got smaller.

I wasn’t failing. I was disappearing.

The books saved me first.

Late at night, when the work was done and the house was quiet, I’d read. Stories of people who built things from nothing. Founders who started over. Explorers who walked into the unknown without a map. People who chose *freedom* over security — not because it was easy, but because the alternative was worse.

I read about mountains climbed by people who started late. About businesses built by people everyone had written off. About lives completely rebuilt after 40, after 50, after failure, after loss.

And somewhere in those pages, I started to understand something:

I wasn’t behind. I was just finally ready.

I started Trendhue at 48

Not because I had everything figured out. Not because anyone told me it was a good idea — most people around me had doubts, and they weren’t shy about sharing them.

But my mother believed me. And I believed myself.

So I started.

I started because I wanted to build something with my own hands, shaped by my own vision, on my own timeline. I started because I was tired of waiting for someone to hand me the life I wanted. I started because I’d spent enough years being useful to other people’s dreams — and I wanted to finally be useful to my own.

Trendhue isn’t just a brand to me. It’s proof. Proof that 48 is not too late. That a boring Tuesday can be the day everything changes. That the person sitting quietly in a job they’ve outgrown is not stuck — they are simply gathering themselves before they bloom.

What Trendhue means to me now.

It means freedom.

Freedom to read the books I love — stories of mountains, of journeys, of people who chose the harder, truer path. Freedom to lace up my boots and trek somewhere new, to meet people whose stories I’d never have heard behind a desk. Freedom to explore the world on my own terms, and to build something that reflects who I actually am — not who I was expected to be.

Every product we make at Trendhue carries that feeling. The late starter who found their voice. The career-leaver who built something real. The person who ignored the timeline society gave them and wrote their own.

That person is me. And if you’re reading this — there’s a good chance it’s you too.

Who we make this for

We make Trendhue for **the person who quit a job to start their own thing** — and for everyone who is still working up the courage to do it.

For the IT professional who felt the cage closing. For the teacher who always wanted to paint. For the accountant who secretly writes. For the corporate lifer who daydreams about mountains.

For anyone who has ever felt the gap between the life they’re living and the life they actually want — and decided, finally, to close it.

You are not too old. You are not too late. You are not behind.

You are exactly where every late bloomer eventually arrives: at the beginning of the best part.

A brand from Kolkata, built with freedom in mind.

Trendhue is based in Kolkata, West Bengal — a city that has always known that the most interesting people are the ones who colour outside the lines.

We are a small, independent print-on-demand brand. Every design we make is a declaration — of identity, of defiance, of quiet pride. We ship across India with Cash on Delivery, because we believe good things should be accessible to everyone, wherever they are on their journey.

A note to every doubter who said it was too late
